Why I am Thinking to leave my job??????

Every paper .. Every news is expressing about this crisis . The wave of this crisis is hitting here and there around the world. We could get such news from different kind of medias .

The amount of jobless in which country is increasing .
Which Country is sending back foreign workers to their home land.

Now , I would like to say about how this wave is hitting to my current job .

I am working in one of the world most largest airline catering company . But I am like a small prawn in the ocean . I am working as a general worker. I am working as a BAR preparation staff. My duty is to make the preparation of alcohol ready to load to the aircraft.

Working under a mass of pressure ..

1 . worry about offloaded items from aircraft
( The offloaded items must arrive on time )

2. To devide the offloaded items as per the Sectors ( Asia , Europe, America ... )

3. Make it ready ( preparation) all the alcohol as per the Standard of the company 4 hours before the departure time of the aircraft .

Our company is running 24 hours a day and 7 days a week . non stop ..
In our department , there are two type of shifts , Day and Night shifts. One Shift have to work 12 hours each . According to the Labour Law of U.A.E. , working hour per day is 9 hours . So , we can get 3 hours overtime per day . One day off per week. 12 hours duty per day means we are giving half of our life for this company.

Because of Financial Crisis , The economy of our company is down. So , The Management of the company trying to cut extra costs.

First of all they tried to cut all of the overtimes. But , it is not possible . Because the lack of employee. So, They cut 1 hour per day in some department .

For my department ( Supply Chain ) still running 12 hours duty till today ( 11.02.2009 ). Because there are more works and very less staff in my Department . But today they annonced their plan for overtime. If they cut our overtime, the target of the work can't finished. So, they planned to cut our salary.

We have to work 3 hours overtime and we'll get the money only for 2 hours . They called the staff and asking Agree or disagree .

All of the staff , said Agree .... ., ... Agree ... except me and my friend .

We have only 2 Myanmar guys in my section . Both me and my friend disagree.

As they said , we should help our company for 1 hour . It is not for a long term , just for 2 months .
I said ..

I agreed with cutting overtime but I objected to work 1 hour for free .
I can't work as a volumteer for your business purpose . If your organization is NPO( Non Profit Organization ) , it is exception .

Now they want to use volunteer force in their own business .

So, I objected their plan ( Cutting Salary for 1 hour )
If we can get money , we will ...
If we can't get money ,... sorry..

I came here (Dubai) is to make money . Not to work for free .

I will never work as a volunteer for their own business .

The result of my feelings is I decided to go back to my home land .

They always used to say .. we can send you back .
They thought that I will be afraid . But , For my point of view, They will send me to my Land, My family ( who are always waiting for my return ) .
So , what shall I afraid ???? they can send me to my family, not to jail .!!!!

What shall I afraid for ? ???

So, Now I am ready to give my resignation letter to my superior .
The day they implement their plan is that the day I submitt my resignation to my Manager .

ohhhh.....

One More thing ..

I beleive that the Management of my Department is taking advantage on this Financial Crisis .

Sure.....

Soon , I will meet my family ..... :0)

PS : why I decided to write this post in English is

In my resignation letter , I invited my manager to visit to my blog . If accendently he came on this spot , he should ( must ) understand how is my feeling behind the smile and why I left my job.
