Colleague Confesses to Killing Woman
DUBAI - An Indian national has confessed to murdering the Myanmarese woman whose body was found in a manhole in Al Nahda a week back, according to a Dubai Police officer.
The man, who was working for Emirates Airline Catering Services at the Dubai International Airport’s newly opened Terminal Three, was a colleague of the woman, ..........., and had been in a relationship with her.
He has been in police custody since the day she was reported missing as it was believed he was the last person to be seen with her.
He told the police that he fell in love with the victim and began to spend money on her.
However she asked him to rent a flat for her and when he refused he thought she would leave him.
The suspect told the police on the day of the incident they went to Al Mamzar Park where a dispute began.
She refused to give him the money spent on her and told him she would end the relationship.
He said he strangled her and pushed her into the 17-metre deep manhole. He said that while he was trying to
put her inside, her pants came off into his hand.
She had been reported missing five days earlier by her roommates and employer, Emirates airline.
The victim’s colleagues told the police that ............, a mother of a six-year-old girl in Myanmar, had left her room to go out on her week off with her Indian colleague.
